Parish of St Musuka
The Parish of St Musuka stretches 120 km along one of the main road leading into Franceville. The parish comprises 10 urban and eight rural communities. The Josephites are involved in schools with one Josephite teaching Religion in a local secondary school and catechesis. The parish was able to sponsor some young people so they could attend the World Youth Day held in Sydney, Australia during July 2008. During 2007 a new venture was undertaken by one of the Josephites with the creation of a plantation comprising one hectare, which includes banana trees and sugar cane. This is being developed to help improve the health of parishioners.
