Bishop Garcia Diego High School

On 1 July 2005, Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barabara, Ca became an independent Catholic high school serving the needs of the broader community. Since 2005 the school has implemented more than $4.6 million in facility and programme improvements including a second gymnasium, college-like campus courtyard, weight training room and other athletic facility and technology improvements and a longer seven period school day. In 2008, the Josephite Principal, Fr Tom Elewaut CJ, was only one of six high school educators from among 1213 high schools honoured by the National Catholic Education Association for distinguished service to Catholic education.
